“OS Deployer automates the disk imaging and deployment process. It helps administrators capture images of different OS versions and store them in a network share, to create different deployment templates for various employee roles, and deploy the images to the new systems all from a central management console.”ManageEngine
Key things to know
ManageEngine OS Deployer can handle online imaging, meaning it can create an image remotely without shutting down the system. Depending upon your needs, it also offers the more traditional, online imaging option where the system is booted into a preboot environment. Images can be saved to a local or external hard drive, to a network shared folder or to removable media.
ManageEngine OS Deployer supports several deployment scenarios. You can manually initiate a deployment using bootable media or PXE. You can also multicast to a series of computers at once either ad-hoc or as scheduled. A “custom deployment” scenario provided allows administrators to create a set of deployment templates to be used as menus for end-user initiated deployment via PXE. For offline systems, imaging may be performed utilizing removable, bootable media containing the drive image.
