Adobe has released Adobe Flash Player 26.0.0.137 to address vulnerabilities that could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system. Adobe recommends users update their product installations to the latest versions:

Critical vulnerabilities exist in Adobe Flash Player 26.0.0.131 and earlier versions for Windows and Macintosh.  Successful exploitation could cause a crash and potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.

  • Users of the Adobe Flash Player desktop runtime for Windows and Macintosh should update to Adobe Flash Player 26.0.0.137.
  • Users of the Adobe Flash Player Extended Support Release should update to Adobe Flash Player 18.0.0.382.
  • Adobe Flash Player installed with Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 10 and Internet Explorer 11 will be automatically updated to the current version.

As of version 11.3 Adobe has two different MSI packages available for download. One MSI (full_flashplayer_win_msi) is targeted for Internet Explorer users. The another (full_flashplayer_win_pl_msi) is targeted for Pluged-in based browsers like Firefox. These can be downloaded from the Adobe Flash Player download page here.
